Here's one I've been trying to get for a while: Peter Gabriel's "Come Talk to Me." I'm not sure where to even start. Is there a Manu Katché player coming? Sometimes it feels like a samba ...

That song is mostly percussion and not easy to do.
A 'Manu' model is a good possibility in the future but will be focused on drumset performance, not percussion.

Resurrecting this thread, it's been a while !

I would really like to get the parameters right for a Nick Mason style.

I spend a lot of time clicking, selecting and modifying parameters randomly not knowing the drummer's language, I seem to be getting nowhere...

I will be playing guitar on Po-Jama People by Frank Zappa at the next King Crimson Camp (https://www.threeofaperfectpair.com/) next Summer. It will be my 6th time down there. Smile

I would like suggestion for Drummer to approximate Chester Thompson (Zappa, Genesis, Phil Collins). I don't think JS Phil would really do the job, right?

It looks the song start around 96 BPM and at the solo it goes at 120 BPM.

I got 100% of Jamstix, all packs and AI.

So if you have any idea or suggestion for drummer and style to use, I'm more than happy to give it a try!

Based upon the Drum chops in the song itself I would start with Dave, Bill & maybe Tony (he's surprising sometimes). I think different models would work better in different sections of that song.
If you're trying to re-create a carbon copy, you are in for a hand editing nightmare and have my heartfelt condolences. Laughing

I don't know if you have Ableton Live 10 or not,but you could import any wonderful FZ audio song into live,convert it and extract it as a midi file.Then import it into Jamstix.

It's not the capture midi feature Dali ;That is used when you haven't hit the record button ,do an inspirational lick or sequence,realise you've not hit record,and save yourself by using the capture button to get your recording.Anyway.What I mean in live 10 is you can extract harmony, melody or drums from an audio sample and convert it into MIDI.

Hi just my opinion but converting audio into midi works much better in Melodyne than Abelton live ver 9.

Only done it with guitar and bass tracks but Melo was almost spot on whilst Abelton result needed slot of tweaking

Yes.Ableton makes a good stab at it,but indeed.It does need tweaking.I have melodyne in studio one pro,so I will check it out.
