XoechZ_at: please try to replicate the problem with 'Full Debug Log' on in JS3 and then send me rzdlog.txt after the crash.

Hello Ralph!

I have tried what you suggested, but unfortunately JS3 does not create a rzdlog.txt file when these crashes happen during loading a project. So I think the crash happens even before JS3 can save the logfile.

rzdlog.txt files are only created when the projects are loading fine. But I think they are useless then.

Greetings,

XoechZ

Can you send me the most recent log file?

Do you want mine too, or only if/after I get a crash again? I can't repro reliably, and the last time it loaded fine.

We're still trying to figure it out. Please check the 'Bypass Audio...' audio box in the REAPER VST preferences and see if it helps.

Knock wood, but I haven't had a crash since I changed this setting on the 24th. Very Happy

-Susan

Edit: Wouldn't you know it? RIGHT after I posted this I got a crash -- sending the rzdlog.txt, Ralph.

Hi Ralph-

Just wondering if there's anything else we could provide to help sort this out. I'm still having problems with REAPER 4.01 and JS 3.1.3 beta 5. Here's the latest when I tried loading a project template with JS:

Faulting application name: reaper.exe, version: 4.0.1.6, time stamp: 0x4e482c07
Faulting module name: jamstix3.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x2a425e19
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000044e2
Faulting process id: 0x990
Faulting application start time: 0x01cc5b10b2593dab
Faulting application path: D:\Program Files\REAPER\reaper.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\jamstix3.dll
Report Id: e5b18686-c708-11e0-912a-00223fdbbb7e

I opened REAPER again, inserted a track, loaded JS, and when I tried to 'Load Song' from the JS GUI, REAPER disappeared with no error message. There was no rzdlog.txt file created either time.

Thanks-

Hi Ralph-

Just wondering if you're still looking into this. I've been reluctant to use Jamstix much lately due to these problems, and I miss it! If it's something weird about my system so be it, but I'm not seeing similar issues with other VSTis.

Please let me know if there's something else I can try or send to you.

Thanks-

-Susan

Please uncheck 'Load On Demand' in the JS3 Options and see if it makes a difference.

Hi Ralph-

I haven't turned that back on since you first suggested disabling it.

Thanks-
