|
|
I'm having problems with trying to use Jamstix 3 in either the 32 or 64 bit versions of Sonar 8.5. Jamstix loads fine, and can play the internal sounds fine. If I try to sub-host another plug-in, it never loads. Worse, if I try to save the song (in Jamstix), or load one I had created prior to installing on my current computer, Jamstix disappears from the project, and Sonar locks up. Then I have to reboot.
I don't seem to have any problems running Jamstix in Sonar 7 (32 bit). |

This is a 64-bit issue. Please use MIDI driving instead of subhosting as follows:
- click MIDI OUT ONLY in the JS3 Mixer
- load your desired kit (it will NOT load the subhosted DLL)
- load your external drum plugin in Sonar directly
- add a MIDI track with input=Jamstix and output=your drum plugin _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks, I'll do that. Is there any way to get Jamstix to save songs when it's running in a 64 bit host? So far the only way to save songs without crashing is to do it in Sonar 7. I am thinking of installing Jamstix on my older Win XP machine, and syncing the two computers via midi. |

| Has there been a solve for this song saving issue in Sonar 8.5 x64? I am also unable to save. Also does JS3 retain song settings without saving a song like JS2?[/img] |

We're still looking into this.
Saving a Sonar project saves the JS3 state so there is no need to manually save within Jamstix. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I get the impression that bitbridge is not playing nicely with JS3 because the error message is bit brdge related. Will these issues go away with Sonar X1? |

We're still trying to duplicate the problem. Our Win64 machines don't produce this behavior. But we are investigating... _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Just an update; I tried running Beta 9, with the changes to the .ini file you mentioned, but I'm still getting the same behavior. Thought you might want to know. |
