|
|
Just wanted to let you know what our short term focus is concerning Jamstix 2 to solve the most important issues in quick updates:
1) Stability
Some users experience host crashes and/or JS2 song data loss. These issues have top priority and should be solved within 1 to 2 weeks.
UPDATE: 2.1 fixes these problems.
2) Usability
We will implement functions to smooth out the general workflow.
3) MIDI Import
We will increase the compatibility range of the MIDI import
UPDATE: 2.1 fixes these problems.
4) Video Tutorials
We will provide more video tutorials
UPDATE: several new videos were released on 10/8.
Thanks for your patience! We apologize that JS2 was not more polished out the door but we will do our utmost to remedy this in a timely fashion! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Sounds like a good plan!
Your support is excellent, considering the small size of your team.
I've been running virtual live gigs with JS2 since I got it, keeping up with the hotfixes and only had to rollback one which 2.0.9 fixed [and I just finished another live gig running with it].
JS2 is still a little tricky, but there's a playing quality that seems to me to be better than JS1 which is why I decided to just go live with it immediatly.
Jam on!
ps: Would love to be added to beta team next time if possible. |

Yes, even though I've tried to absorb the manual, some simple walkthroughs would be really useful.

| After all I would rather have Jamstix 2 now with some bugs than having to wait another couple of months. We will help you get this sorted. Your support and response to users have always been the best. |

Thanks, Tom, much appreciated!
I can't help but feel embarassed about the stability bugs, though
But I think they will be sorted soon.. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

+1 from me!
Going through some though time, trying to 'unlearn' JS1, understanding JS 2 and what should and shouldn't be, but slowly seeing the beauty of this rebirth of cool!

Glad to hear that! The thing is that while JS2 is totally diffferent from JS1, I can pretty much guarantee that that won't happen with JS3 because the basic JS2 concept is the cornerstone of the current and future Rayzoon, period. It is flexible, expandable and will support various addons down the road.
So this means that once you're used to the JS2 workflow, you're good to go. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph, when you pay as little as you charge for the update, and you get almost daily bugfixes as well as keeping everyone informed of what's happening, then your not going to lose any customers. If you ever make a fortune out of Jamstix please buy Steinberg and run it like you do Rayzoon |
