Okay so i haven't bought what looks to be an awesome product and here is why
I have Cubase SX3
BFD
Win XP
now i downloaded the demo and i cannot get any sound out of it.
I tried using it with BFD....i used the free quickstart manual and to my eyes i set everything up correctly......but maybe not.........i'm very interested in the product but i'm bummed the deom won't do any thing but blink with some lights
i'd love to be guided or informed what it is i'm doing wrong
thanks

Firstly, I'd be inclined to take BFD out of the equation - that's one less thing for you to get wrong .
Just set up Jamstix using it's internal sounds and see where that gets you. If you still hear nothing, then you'll have to go through your routing, etc.
One thing is for sure - the demo will most certainly work - as it has for many others. _________________ Graeme

Rex, please follow these steps:
- open new Cubase project
- load Jamstix demo into VST instrument rack
- click 'Free Jam'
- press Play in Cubase
After a few beats, Jamstix should start playing a groove.
Tell me if you can get this far. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Please send me the file rzdlog.txt from your Jamstix demo folder to support[at]rayzoon.com.
Also, when you press play in Cubase, do the bar/beat counters in Jamstix advance? Are there any blinking red LEDs in the bottom part of Jamstix? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

There should NOT be any lights blinking. Please make sure that the checkbox under 'Jams Start/Stop' in the jam tab is not checked (must be black). _________________ Ralph Zeuner

What you did when you told Jamstix to load that kit was actually load a BFD kit into BFD within Jamstix - which can function as a VST host.
If you want to work with BFD externally you need to load BFD into another virtual instrument slot.
If you are driving BFD externally, check "Midi Out Only" on the Jamstix mapping page and (in Cubase) route the output of Jamstix to the input of the midi channel which is driving BFD.
If you want to work with Jamstix on its own (internal samples), load the default kit on the mapping page and make sure you have the Jamstix channel selected in Cubase project page - the red record light or the brown monitor light must be lit to hear any output. |

You should be able to access the BFD GUI from within Jamstix if that's the way you are working - if there is no snare sound, either the samples aren't loaded or the mapping in not correct to trigger the samples. |

Bigtrex, we now have two issues so let's keep them separate:
a) No internal sounds.
Please locate your 'rzdlog.txt' file (should be in the 'Jamstix Demo' folder) and send it support[at]rayzoon.com.
b) BFD Snare Missing
Set Jamstix to 'Manual Jam', go to the rhythm tab, click 'Load' and select 'Rock Basic I', go to the mapping tab and load the 'BFD Set 1' through 'BFD Set 4' mappings and see if the snare is missing in all of them. Remember that it takes some time for BFD to load all its samples so watch the HDD light. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
