Jamstix Kit: Rock Standard
Groove Agent SE4 Kit: Maple
Here is a drum key connecting them. For drum newbies like me, you can copy/paste this into the JS Rock Standard key map, have JS send its output to MIDI, and then route the MIDI track to Groove Agent SE 4 Maple kit.
I had to tick on the option, "Use Yamaha naming convention" , in JS options.

It's not a perfect match, there are a *lot* more articulations in Jamstix kit than in this GA4 SE kit (for example there are 5 snare articulations, and I mean above and beyond velocity changes, these are "Center", "Offset", "Sidestick", "Bounce", and "Rimshot". GA4 SE has ... Snare and Rimshot).
So what I did for example in each Tom, where Jamstix has "Center" and "Offset", I assigned both to the same MIDI key to GA4 SE "Tom". Also no sticks, etc. in the GA4 SE kit, just have to live without those in this key.
Hope this does help someone else down the road, and if anyone else makes a key connecting another JS kit to another GASE4 kit, maybe it can be appended here.
I do have a question though (surprise, surprise!):
I am in the market for a drum VSTi just to get better sounding samples, but I'm wondering if I will just have to accept the fact that I will lose "resolution", meaning some of the Jamstix sounds, when I play them through Battery or EZ Drummer 2 etc., just because they are not as complete and detailed as Jamstix (only 1 snare sample, instead of Jamstix's 4-6; only 1 tom sample for every Jamstix "Tom Center", "Tom Offset").
I know a lot of you guys do route JS to another VSTi ... do you miss having that high level of detail in Jamstix? Or, maybe there's a way to get this done without losing out on it?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts! _________________ Alexis
