Hi,
I just installed 1.7.
The snare ghost notes are out of time or something is strange.
Loved this feature in 1.6.
Anybody else?

| Ok, I found out that this happens only with some snares of Custom & Vintage. |

hmm,
nobody here with Custom & Vintage?
I only use manual jam with midi out only.
with the C&V Canopus Snare the Gost notes are more double hits.
How can I go back to 1.6? |

No need to go back to 1.6, let me look at this and I'll get back to you. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I've checked it out and this is a C&V problem.
- load drummer and select an original DFHS snare
- go to the mixer and on the EDIT side in the PAD section, select snare and then the 'Rough' sub-pad
- this is the sound that Jamstix expects for its 'Snare Bounce' which is used for some snare ghost notes
- click on the Snare pad top hear this sound. It's the sound of a stick freely bouncing off the head
- now load a C&V snare and listen to its 'Rough' sub-pad. It has a hit at the end making it unusable for ghost notes. In fact it makes it unusuable for anyhting since the hit implies a specific BPM.
It is that extra hit in C&V snares that causes the problem. Here is a work-around:
- go to the Jamstix mapping tab and select the 'Snare Bounce' sound
- set its key to match the key of the 'Snare' sound
- draw a fairly slow rising curve in the velocity map so that even at max velocity the sound is still that of a quiet snare
You may want to have a groove with ghost notes playing while you do this so you can draw the velocity line as needed by ear. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
