Anyone ever tried running Jamstix under Reaper?
Reaper is a new host being developed by the former author of Winamp:
http://www.cockos.com/reaper/
Its free at the moment, but will be low-cost after 1.0, supposedly.
Anyway, looks like it has very promising routing capabilities, but I can't seem to convince it to run Jamstix, which "just works" under Tracktion.
Reaper is young, dumb and probably full of bugs, so this is certainly not a Jamstix problem. Just wondering if anyone had tried this (or might try it after hearing of it) |

Try Jamstix with Reaper and find out for yourself. It should, the web page says it supports vst/i. |

If you'll read what I posted, you'll see that I said "I can't get it to work".
It seems that reaper doesn't yet support something that is needed (SPP?). It can't tell Jamstix what position it is at, evidently.
Already a new version since I posted though. I posted on their forum too. Maybe this will get some attention. |

Hi, I'm the developer of REAPER.. trying to get Jamstix to work, perhaps we can find out from the developers what it requires...
I'm trying to send SPP/clock midi events, as well as making sure my audioMasterGetTime implementation is correct. Perhaps someone could enlighten me to what Jamstix requires... ?

Hi Justin,
Let's take it to E-mail. I'll send you a description of what Jamstix uses for SPP later today (it's the VSTTimeInfo interface).
Let me know if I should e-mail to an address different then the one with your profile here.
Thanks! Looking forward to working this out with you! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Just a note for everybody here, REAPER 0.951 works well with JamStix.. perhaps we should start a new thread?

P.S. Thanks Ralph for being so helpful! |

Previewing fills in the arranger window doesn't work for me. (using reaper)
Can this be fixed or am I missing something? |
