I reinstalled the OS and Jamstix. Saved some mapping but they do not work. They load, but most of the kit isn't loaded.

Question

thanks!

Make sure installed the jamstix_data_setup.exe (217MB) file, which provides the default sounds. You can check by going to the mapping tab, opening the sample list box and seeing whether 'Chimes Fast' is listed on top.

I was on 1.42, did a new install, OS as well, with 1.5.

Mapping box says Chimes fast

Still no correct drum map loading, 'no sounds' in basic slots like kick and snare. although it prints there under 'load and save' the correct file, and it appears to have loaded it..

Please repeat the loading, close Jamstix and then send me the rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix folder to support[at]rayzoon.com and please also include your mapping file (rdm).

another Q. I notice that in the VST folder of Cubase 3 there are 'mappings' and 'add-ons' folders in both the general Cubase3 VST folder plus the Jamstix folder that is inside the Cubase 3 VST folder. Should there be only one set of mappings and add-ons folders?

Yes, only one set of folders should be used. Move the contents of the folders outside of Jamstix folder into the identical folders inside of it and then get rid of the superfluous folders.
