I am just having problems in general getting everything to load right. Wonder if there is, or if someone could write a Step by Step on getting all these programs working together?

Thank You:)

Here's a quick one:

- Open Cubase, new project
- Load Jamstix into the VST rack
- In Jamstix, go to the mapping tab, click LOAD and select 'DFH Superior FF 600MB.rdm'.
- Wait a few moments for DFHS to load its samples
- Go the jam tab and click 'Free Jam'
- Press Play in Cubase and after a few beats you should hear Jamstix playing a groove with DFHS.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

Ok so when you load a Mapping, does DFHS actually load up as well? Or do I need to open it sepratly? Also when DFHS does load it gives me options for like Surpior, GM, DFH add on, and DFH, which one do I select?

When you load a DFHS mapping in Jamstix, DFHS gets loaded into Jamstix so you do not need to load it separately into Cubase. You will also not see the DFHS GUI at all so you don't have to make any adjustments.

Following the steps I outlined should give you Jamstix playing DFHS in Cubase. Once you have that going, there are alternate ways to integrate Jamstix with DFHS including ways to have both loaded separately in the VST rack but let's do one thing at a time.

Did the steps work for you?

I am actually out of town untill tomorrow so I cant actually test it out till then. So those maps actually just load up a certian drumkit then? Cause I was loading a map, then loading DFHS using the external vsti option and just selecting a kid.... How does it know where DFHS is located etc?

Yes, they do. You can also open the DFHS screen in Jamstix, make changes and then save a new Jamstix mapping with those changes.

If it can't find drummer.dll (DFHS plugin), it will prompt you for it and then remember that location.

Ok cool. Now I do all of that, set my outputs to like 10 or so. But it makes then all Stereo. So like output 1, left channel will be Bass and right will be Snare (or somthing, just a example). I am sure it is a easy fix, but I just dont know how to do it. So after all that is loaded, then how do I record what I have?

You can make the Jamstix outputs mono by adding the line:

StereoOutputs=0

to the [General] section of your jamstix.ini file.

You can also do this as an alternate mode of using DFHS with Jamstix:

- load Jamstix into VST rack
- check the 'MIDI Out Only' box in the mapping tab and load a DFHS mapping (Jamstix will NOT load DFHS, just the mapping)
- load DFHS separately into VST rack
- add a MIDI track and set input=Jamstix and output=DFHS

Jamstix will now drive the DFHS in Cubase so all the output routing of DFHS is in Cubase.

NOTE: MIDI OUTPUT IS LIMITED TO BARS 1-4 IN THE JAMSTIX DEMO!

Hi!

I just wanted to know where to find that jamstix.ini file cause I'd really want to have all my tracks in mono.

By the way I don't hear the left side from the jamstix outputs in cubase...

Is that normal?

thanks in advance...jamstix is a really good product I enjoy it very much so far!

jamstix.ini is in the Jamstix folder where the jamstix.dll is.

Once you have it all mono, let me know if you still have the left side problem.
