I've been playing and arranging successfully - but haven't had time to work with Jamstix for a couple of days. Now I can't get Jamstix to play along with Cubase. Nothing seems to be frozen. Cubase is running (SL1), Jamxtix is open and I can manipulate the tabs, load my arrangement, etc., but when I press play in the host, Jamstix does not follow. I do notice that the little bar under the Jamstix play button - "Start Play (requires running host", which is uasually red (maybe even flashing) is grey - whether the host is running or not. Something is not connecting here.

I tried closing Jamstix and re-opening - same with Cubase - and finally a reboot - same. Can sombody help me get this going?

Thanks,
Geoff

By the way, I just noticed that my freshly loaded arrangement has all the bars dark like they have not yet been played - and - all of my locked bars are unlocked - which I assume means all the work I've done on varying patterns, and saved by locking the bars, will be gone.

Is this all somehow connected?

Sounds odd. Make sure that the box next to 'Jam Start/Stop' in the jam control panel is not checked.

If all fails, please send me the rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix folder to support[at]rayzoon.com

It would appear to something in Cubase - I just tries another VSTi and it doesn't run either. Any Cubase settings that come to mind that would possibly be related?

This wouldn't answer my dark/unlocked bars questions though would it?

I assume you have Jamstix assigned to a track, right?

For some reason, after closing the program a number of times and re-opening - all of a sudden it was playing again - and then my arrangement got back to normal. I don't know why, but strange little things like this have been hapening from time to time.

Anyway, Looks fine for now. Thanks Doc for responding.

Ralph has been following up by E-mail, on my file I sent him. Great service as usual!

Glad you're back up but that really wasn't normal. I recommend keeping staged backup copies of the projects and continue to try figure out what is happening.
