Hey,
Is there a way to edit a pattern in a single measure instead of globally? Example: A cymbal crash that just doesn't fit in a single measure.....without killing cymbals in that same pattern elsewhere.

The best way is to go to an unused rhythm, click PASTE and select the rhythm you are working on. You now have a copy of that rhythm. Change it as desired and then assign it to the bar in the arranger. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks. I'm having a blast with this program. Keep up the good work.

Obviously, you can run out of rhythm slots very quickly if you like to vary your rhythms a lot. However, I think I already read somewhere in the forum, that more rhythm slots are already in the plans for Jamstix 2. Do we have any idea how many?

Although I'm a complete newbie to JS, I see the potential for running out of rhythms VERY quickly.
Unlimited (or at the very least twice as much as currently available) would be nice... |

Though I see the point here let me say that due to Jamstix´ own "human" variation capabilities you only need different rhythms for really different rhythms but not for variations.
In times when I used to program my Roland drum machine I had to program 30-40 different rhythms for a song to have enough variation in a song and in drum patterns, in Jamstix I find it´s usually far below 10. The rest is done by Jamstix itself. |

I agree with Doc, plus you can lock bars to get even more variations.
At this point Jamstix 2 is expected to have no pattern limit. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
