Hi,
Got the jam since friday and for now I really feel that's the perfect tool that I need with DFHS! Nice job! Very Happy
I'll have few more questions to ask here soon, but I need to bleed first little further all of the features of the beast...

For now, 3 questions:
-From the Load&save dialog it's possible when selecting a keyword from the list to find which are the rhythms attached. But is it possible to know which are the keyword(s) attached to specific rhythm?

-The BrushPak seems a very nice addon for my purpose. Is it possible to get all of the features using the DFHS's brushes map?

-I tryed DFHS loaded inside and outside jamstix. When I record the midi output (DFHS outside), there's a delay on the midi recorded track. Which is the best way to set the offset?
(export midi file works fine)

Thank you!
RW

Yes, it is. In Keyword Jam load any rhythm you want to have information about.
Then hit SAVE and you´ll be presented a tab where you can see the keywords that are attached to that rhythm.
Now you can change them if you want and hit SAVE again or simply CANCEL.

I have to try this myself but I suspect I have to make a map myself.

I don´t have this in Cubase SX 3.1. Do you have Midi latency with other VSTi, too?
If it is consistent and this behaviour is always the same you can set midi delay compensation in Cubase´s preferences.

Hope this helps.

You have to load the rhythm and click 'Save'. You can then see the key words.

Snare brushing and brush hit switching (muted, open) are only available with BrushPak.

Maybe my question is not clear (bad english), or even I don't understand properly your answer, but if I buy the BrushPak, is the new features like the hit switching, muted and open, are sending on different midi notes? And in that way I could map them to DFHS?

These functions only work with the internal engine.

There are few little things I found:

-So I performed some tests around that and maybe the offset occur because my UAD-1. With the project I get an offset of -68 ticks when recording the midi output of jamstix. If I checked the «dsp offset» and add audiom8 insert, the recording is now -1 tick, which is pretty fine but the timing on play is wrong (play ahead of the beat). So it's look like the audiom8 insert has no impact on play. Btw, export midi file has no offset.

-Another little problem I found is about the lock mesure feature. I tryed to lock the first intro mesure and got silence or random hits.

-When I record jamstix's midi output to a track or use an exported file, some hits has no Quantize length. I mean that if I open the track in the midi editor, the length for some hits end only at the end of the track (file)! Mostly the toms do that.

Otherwise I love it and I will get the brushpak very soon....
Cheers,
RW

Yes, this is an issue with some latency-inducing plugs. For now you need to use 'DSP offset' to either have playback on time or recording. Or you can just use the export instead of recording.

We'll check that out. Could you send a FXB with this problem to support[at]rayzoon.com?
