Thomas,
You're gonna' love it! If you haven't already done so, I recommend downloading the manual - it's in the Library section. Read it, reread it and read it again. Many things didn't click for me until I had read it several times. (Still a few things I'm having trouble getting my head around. ) But it could be that I'm just dense!

Thomas: thanks for the order, you should have it by now.
Kenny: if you want to discuss any of those trouble issues, I'm here for ya. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Whoa, Ralph!
I didn't say anything about "trouble issues." I said I was having trouble getting my head around some things... big difference. I'm not only learning Jamstix but Cubase as well. It's gonna' take some time.

Will do, Kenny C!! Thanks!
Thanks to you, too, Zauni!
Things I was trying to achieve in the demo (just downloading full version now..will uninstall demo before I run the real thing)...
Metronome...I make it 'active' but how do you get sounds out!?
I FINALLY got the jam thing to work...but I have to use the audio M8 tool...doesn't traktion work without it?
Anyway...the velocity slide is moving, but it doesn't really go from one end to the other..it only really moves around one area, i.e. the right end, low end, in the middle... Can you get it to respond 'fully'?
Apart from this, it's FAB!!!!! I'm loving creating my own rythms aswell
*edit: When yuo have the drums you want for a track, how are these output to audio in traktion?...* |

If the host is playing and the metronome is active, you should hear counting sounds on outputs #1.

Please read the 'Free Jam Quick Start' PDF in the manual folder. It will discuss using input trimming and input velocity maps to properly dial things in. If you still need help after that, let me know.

You can either do nothing and they will end up in your final mixdown or you can freeze Jamstix (not sure if Tracktion does this) or bounce it to an audio file. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes, no need for it if you have all the Paks. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Tom - either just leave as it is and when you render the final track the drums will be there along with the rest. If you want to not have to have the VSTi loaded (to save memory/CPU etc) then you can either 'freeze' that track in Tracktion (saves some resources but you can still go back to the plugin and make changes later if need be) or if you are totally finished messing witht he drums and are happy with them you can render the track (within Tracktion) to an audio file then remove the plugin from the track. |
