Hi Ralph,
sorry for bothering you again. I have a big problem with Jamstix. The last couple of hours I tried everything I could, but the problem still remains. I am using Jamstix 9-2, Cubase SX 3.1 and Windows XP Home on a Acer Pentium M with 2 GHz and 1 Gig of Ram.
here's my problem:
I've laid down several rhythms which all have different Hats-behaviour. But Jamstix only plays 1 sample for all the different rhythms. When auditioning the particular mappings, everything sounds fine, but the engine does not choose the right samples. I even tried Halion Player to see which sample Jamstix actually chooses. There I could see, that Jamstix still was on open hat, when it actually was supposed to play closed hats. My head aches, because JS does not work like I want.
As in another thread I already mentioned the "sidestick" problem, which also was related to mapping, I get the feeling that there is something not working correctly. But I really hope that this is just my fault, and that you can figure it out fast.
Greets,
Max |

You have character in the jam tab set to 'Aggressive'. Set it to 'Normal' and all will be fine. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

That shows, that I am just not that into Jamstix as I thought! Thanks Ralph.. The fascinating thing in Jamstix is, that you can define "everything"! But that again needs knowledge of "everything", which lacks on my side! I am thankful for your help and glad that it was my fault and not Jamstix's.
By the way.. Any more precise date for JamBassix (or whatever it will be called) than Q1 2006? I know you don't want to be asked this question, but I wanted to try!
Thanks for the help!
Greetings,
Max |

There's no precise date on JamBassist, yet, and also a real possibility of a slip into Q2 but definitely nothing later than that. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
