Hi I´ve made this question a while ago but only one guy anwered. Do you mix your snares(pack) in stereo or, on the other hand, you mix them in mono?
Thanks |

I'd definitely mix them stereo and, if I want to fine-tune it, I'd send the snare to its own output and then narrow the stereo image in the host if I need to focus it more. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks Ralph, I´ve been making some mixes and I think just like you, that it sounds fuller in stereo, but many engineers claims that snares should be placed mono.

Anything that is mixed to sound real needs stereo snares just as your ears receive a stereo signal if you listen to a snare played live.
Very rarely is a snare really mixed mono in a song. An engineer may have a mono snare signal but as soon as he/she routes it into a reverb it becomes a stereo signal. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
