The RXP file is still a compressed format (that's why it's the same as the ZIP size). Once Jamstix installs the samples, they expand to 120MB. It also adds an additional 30MB or so in step 2 when the close mono channel is extracted from the close stereo signal.

Hi Greg, How can I assign-to-key the rimshots? I´m missing that feature! By far, the best sampled snares. From pop corn funky to a deeper snare (I like singerland, very charlie watts sound), they cover every musical style.

I just LOVE the Snarepak... but after hearing the DP#2 snare.... I already new I would love the Snarepak.
The only thing that worried me when I got the DP#2 was that now I had one AWESOME snare and it would have to feature on ALL my songs (overkill) or too much of a good thing....
Now with Snarepak... my DP#2 snare has ELEVEN brothers and sisters!
JUST WHAT I WANTED!!!!!
I agree with some earlier comments on this post.
The mapping of all these new snares could be a bit more visual... but you say you will address this in V2.
I really like the idea of the Radio King and the Black Beauty Individual snarepaks! (my moneys on the table)
But for the time being.... I now have enough snares to make several albums!

| One other thing about the mapping page: this defaults to Chimes (Fast) for me. If I am swapping snares in and out (for example) it would be handy if it stayed at the last selected instrument rather than reverting to "Chimes (Fast)" |

Try loading some of the presets, and there's one where the F2 (a half-step below the closed hihat) is the snare rim... I haven't messed around with the whole rimshot thing too much though.

When you go into the "mapping" and select "Snare Rimshot" (and there should be a sound assigned in the sample selection at the bottom) then you can assign a MIDI key to it just like any other sound. I use "F1" unless there's a floor tom there or something...
EDIT: That popcorn snare sounds even more awesome if you always hit the rimshot like those funk drummers do.
