I have been messing with JS to see how to make a drum track for existing songs that are not midi. In other words find the tempo.
I take a midi track and insert a click track into it, then pop JS into it and then slowly adjust the midi tempo untill it matches the tempo of the song.
I had one the other day someone ask for drum track on and it had a full measure of click in the beginning, I just adjusted JS to match that tempo and waaLaa a spot on drum track.
Side note If you have Acid Pro 3.0 or later it has the beatmapper that will tell you what the tempo of a track is. |

Robo,
I'm curious how it would work if, like me, the the performers didn't keep tempo very well. You know, a litter faster in the chorus, a little slower in the verse, skipping a beat in the bridge, etc? Any hope of composing a drum track in a situation like that?

Hi Kenny, many hosts allow you to have a tempo track that varies tempo throughout the song. You would have to set this track up either manually or using a tempo extraction tool. Once this track matches the tempo changes of the source, JS will follow in synch. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
