Hi,

I've just updated to the latest version of jamstix (running in tracktion 2.1.0.6) and can't get it running anymore - it either hangs the system just after loading the drum samples, or is entirely silent and doesn't recognise any incoming audio from audiom8. It worked before. I've always run the plugin from a folder under steinberg, which is where all the update files also installed themselves to.

Any help would be very gratefully received!

Many thanks,

NP

First thing I recommend is a computer restart if you haven't done that, yet.

Let me know if it doesn't help and we'll go from there.

After a restart, the best I can get is still a silent jamstix - it still hangs occasionally while loading also.

Maybe I should try re-installing the update - is there anything else I need to do after the update?

Many thanks for your continued assistance.

Do you have any Paks installed?

Are there files in the 'samples' folder of your Jamstix directory that start with 'Chimes...' ?

Also, please add these lines to the [General] section of your jamstix.ini file:

Logging=1
FlushLog=1

Restart Jamstix and immediately send me the files rzdlog.txt and jamstix.ini from the Jamstix folder.

We'll sort this out!

This may have to do with the install sequence for the Paks. I recommend using MiniHost or SAVIHost to run Jamstix once and have it finish the Pak installation. After that it should run fine in Tracktion.

We'll investigate the issue but the above may be a work-around for now.

<edit - apologies - this is fine now>

Not sure if its related but the latest Beta X9-1 won't load the default.rdm map in Tracktion2 - any other maps open fine. thought it may be related as X9-1 is based on 1.5 . . . Will post in Beta thread too.

What does it do exactly with the default map?

Apologies - it was simply a locked handle as you mention in the Beta thread - fine now.
