Does JS run with other hosts on your system? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Unfortunately, we are not familar with PowerTracks.
I would suggest removing the SpinAudio wrapper for Jamstix and use the Cakewalk-wrapped Jamstix instead. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

hi ralph,
did the wrap with Sonar VST wrapper after unwrapping the Spin Audio one, then tried loading it into PT, got the message "power tracks cannot make connection with Jamstix"...so with the Spin wrapper it crashes, and with the Sonar wrapper it doesnt work.....any other ideas?
thanks

yes ralph im using xp2, tried the dep settings, and JS loads, but with no gui coming up just the DXi box in PT, and the prog still crashes (locks up) after loading JS...i am beginning to think this is a prob with PT itself...they have just started ASIO support so their drivers may still be a bit buggy, although to be fair it is geared for DX plugs rather than VST ones...so maybe i will have to accept JS wont work with it.
thanks for your help though

just as a final word for anyone else wanting to use PT10 and jamstix...i tried using Spin Audio wrapper, Directixer wrapper and the excellent wrapper provided with Sonar...all to no avail...i think there is some inherent problem with PT10 and its ASIO/VST support...i have deleted the program (PT) and will go back to Sonar..
cheers

Hi, I'm brand new to Jamstix but a long time user of Power Tracks so I thought I would update this thread. PT10 does support ASIO but not VST (DXi only). PT11 was just released last week and it finally supports VST. It's a pretty full featured audio/midi multitracker for $49.95 with an excellent forum. It's much easier for a newbe to learn than the big hosts with almost all the features they have. I've just finished playing with JS and PT11 for most of the day, it works great. I was having some problems this morning and discovered they just released a patch and now it's all good.

I'm a PT10 user and I've just bought JS
I'm wondering if there's been any more confirmation that JS and the new PT11 with VSTI support work well together before I upgrade.
Thanks, Rick |
