I understand that you can only buy jamstix online, but have some answers. How big is the download, does it have to be downloaded to the pc that it will be running on, can it be saved to cd as backup.
I fully appreciate that security and piracy prevention is important.
My problem is that i do not have a web connection on my music pc, no modem or internet software, also im using dial up at the moment and am worried about long download times.
also could you please clarify if jamstix can be a stand alone program or does it have to run through a vst host
any information would be great
thanks |

It can be downloaded to anywhere you want, and you can save on a CD or a different HDD for backup...

Jamstix itself is a download of a bit over 200MB. The DrumPaks range from 95 to 275MB each.
When you purchase you will receive links with ID/password that you can use on any computer to download the files. You can then burn them on CD and install them on the music computer.
Furthermore, activating Jamstix with the license key does not require an Internet connection.

Jamstix is a VSTi and not a stand-alone. However, the free SAVIHost can be used to make it a stand-alone (copy savihost.exe to Jamstix folder and rename to jamstix.exe). Another option is MiniHost. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Two more small vsti hosts worth considering are Chainer and eXT.
