You can check it by just looking at the Stage Custom snare sample files. In the demo they are all odd numbered. The full version has odd and even.

It's all good now, although I had to run jamstix_data_setup.exe twice: the first time it did nothing (I may have selected the wrong option within setup), the second time I re-named folders then moved/merged files. So they are all there now, including odd and even sample files. Thanks again!

Ralph, that fixed the sound issue. Thanks very much. One last concern.
When you click the lock in the Rhythm section, shouldn't that "lock" the current part that is playing, the "jam part"? Sometimes is does, quite often it does not! This occurs in the original demo dll and the one you just sent.
Am I missing something? It seems logical that when you click lock, the pattern stays where it's at for editing, while the sequencer plays.
It doesn't always stay locked, and this happens if the Tracktion sequencer is playing or not playing!

(I'm sure you'll be glad to get rid of me one way or another!).

Doesn't anyone else here use the first version of Tracktion? I can't believe this hasn't been noticed before. And if not....I'm extremely unlucky!!

Wink

I can't duplicate the locking issue in Tracktion. I have JS in 'manual jam' with the rhythm tab open and T2 playing. Whenever I hit the lock JS locks the currently shown rhythm.

The only issue is that depending on the beat that I hit the lock, JS may hesitate for a few beats before locking (just a brief annoyance though).

Are you doing something different? Are you saying you hit the lock with let's say rhythm 1 shown and after the lock is closed it jumps to 2 or so?

So, this feature only works in Manual mode?
I've been using Free Jam mode. I would logically think it would work in any mode!

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. It'll be on something like "Jam Part #3" and when I click lock sometimes it stays on that part and sometimes it goes to another part. If it goes to another part it will continue switching parts just as if the lock is not down.

If this is meant for Manual mode only, why does it work sometimes in Free Jam mode and sometimes not? Question

Once again I'm willing to accept that Tracktion 1 may act differently...but it's all I've got for a VSTi host for the foreseeable future. Crying or Very sad

It only makes sense in manual mode. In free jam mode, Jamstix will change rhythms on its own which is counter to your intention of keeping a part where it is at during the time of the lock. Let me know if should elaborate on that some more.

Please see if the lock works fine in manual jam mode for you.

Yes, it seems to work in Manual mode. I'll accept your logic.
So, the current demo you've made for me seems to fix the original concern of locking in 3/4 time, will the current full beta version act the same?

I'm planning on the complete bundle. I'm assuming this is a massive download. What is the total size for the whole thing?
I have a medium speed connection on another computer and I'm going to have to set aside some time for this download!

Thanks, Ralph Exclamation

Yes, beta X8-12 has the fix.

The whole bundle means 5 separate downloads with these est. sizes:
Jamstix Plugin=8MB
Jamstix Default Sounds=200MB
DrumPak #1=100MB
DrumPak #2=270MB
BrushPak=100MB
