Ralph
When Jamstix 2 is released... is it going to be something really new or will it just be the same as the beta version that proceeds it?

No release date has been planned. It will be substantially different from Jamstix 1.x and not a progession of the current betas. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| What about the skins or update on the "bleeding" fonts? I still can only barely read the text so it doesn't get used... I thought that was going to take place as an update in 2005 then I read it was part of JS2.0 which I'm reading now is something different? |

The fonts will be addressed in JS2. JS2 will be different in that it is not merely 'another beta' but a substantially modified and expanded product. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I gotta say... while I have the utmost faith in you and the team..."substantially different"?
It's damm near perfect as it is!!
You don't mess with a good thing do you?
I'm sure none of us want it to be substantially different!!
Oh well.... I trust you....
And I have never had any problems reading the fonts or text.

| hm, i wouldn't say its near perfect, but it does seem to be great. but most things im missing (true odd time sigs for example) will apparently be adressed in jamstix 2. |

Odd time sigs are a major focus of Jamstix 2. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

What will the upgrade price be? If I buy the current version now, will I get version 2 free. If not, what price?
Thanks. |

Jamstix 2 is quite a ways off. I'd guess Q4 2006 at this point. When it is released, all Jamstix owners will be offered a special update price, which will be at least 50% off the normal price. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Odd time signatures?
Well fair enough.
I find that odd time signatures lead to odd music...
People love to listen to the old 4/4... seems to be what all 'feel-good' music is base on...
