I know Andrew_K is using LM4 Mk II successfully with Jamstix in Cubase. Maybe he can help shed some light, I just E-mailed him.

Generally speaking, 'no sound' often indicates a mapping problem. Are you kits in GM layout or custom?

Here are the steps I use:
1. After loading Jamstix click on the 'Mapping' tab.
2. Select 'External VSTi'
3. In the dialog that appears navigate to your LM4 MkII installation folder and select the LM4 dll.
4. If you haven't got the Jamstix version that allows you to load/save .fxp/.fxb programs/banks email Ralph. I don't know if this is out of beta yet but works perfectly here. (hope you don't mind this Ralph Very Happy )
5. Click on the 'Configure' button to setup the LM4.
6. Click the 'Load' button displayed beneath the LM4 to load either a bank or program into the LM4.
7. Jamstix sends midi note information to the LM4 (or whatever drum module is loaded) telling it what to play and when. Under the General Midi specification a Bass Drum is normally assigned to the key number 36 (C1 in music terms), a snare to key 37 (C#1), a closed high hat to 42 (F#1) and so forth. If your kit is not General Midi mapped you will need to go through each pad on the LM4, select the 'Layer' button on the lower right and make a note of the key required to trigger the pad. This is the text displayed below the samples. eg D 1,38. This means this pad is triggered by playing D1 (which is midi key thirty eight). You then need to close the LM4 and go through the mappings you have set in Jamstix. To do this, using the 'Sound' drop down list select the drum to map. eg. Snare. Then use the 'Key' drop down list to select the key assignment you noted from the 'Layer' display in the LM4. For instance, if your snare drum under the 'Layer' display said D# 1,39 you would select D#1 as the mapping for your snare from the 'Key' drop down list. Once you have done this for every pad that has samples loaded into it on the LM4 click the 'Save' button at the top right of the 'Mappings' tab to save these settings. If you don't you will have to repeat this process next time you use the LM4.

In actual fact it may pay to check your settings here even if you think your kit is General Midi as Jamstix attempts to trigger a few extras when playing. See Section 4.2 in the manual.
8. Get jamming...

Hope this helps.
