What was the reason for the noise if I may ask..?

Not sure but I added code to silence audio output during the data load from the host.

but there are several other problems now. First, my key word jam doesn't work anymore.. There are no keywords in the list. Second, there is an error shown at the bottom of the Jamstix GUI that says: "FIE Update UI Update Error (Access violation .. in module jamstix.dll...)

These are all symptoms of Jamstix not loading its support data. Please restart your machine and try again. If this persists, please send me the rzdlog.txt file.

We also found a problem with rounding errors introduced in the X8 betas leading to synch problems in non 4/4 sigs. If you have experienced such issues, please see if this Build helps.

I have had some wierd behaviour with 8-8 when reloading Multiout kits I already created. I end up with "No Sample" in the box. I also had kits where certain samples (eg all Kick and Snare) were silent despite being selected and playing fine with "audition".

I don't seem to be able to replicate this.

OK - I saw these things all in one session where I was testing the new features. I could try to see if I can recreate the problem if that would help.

Regards,
Phil

Onando and Podianer, please see if this Build fixes your noise issues:

With 1755 everything works fine for me.
No Jamstix opening noise and no noise when changing samples in
the mapping tab.
Thanks Very Happy

No need to stay in the beta rat race Smile You could just wait for the next official update.

Hi Ralph, I am seeing something strange with this latest beta (8-11).

I have just been trying to remap midi notes from my eDrum kit tom pads to tom sounds in Jamstix and when I change the midi note in the mapping page it has no effect. The pads output will not play the sample after I move the note for the desired sound on the mapping page to match the incoming note.

Even hitting the Audit button after shifting the note results in no sound.

I don't know if this is due to two samples being addressed by that same incoming note or whether something is broken in the current build.

Make sure 'Map GM Input' is NOT checked in the mapping tab.
