|
|
Hi,
I use Halion Player with its own Drum Kit (studio mid). Its second crash is on E2! Jamstix itself tells me the same in the mapping i.e. that E2 plays the second crash, but when I click on AUDIT, the first crash is played instead of the second. And it is the only crash used by Jamstix during Jam. It's really boring to hear the same cymbal all the time. When I go to the Halion piano roll I can audit the second crash, but Jamstix never plays that. What am I doing wrong here?
I have the latest beta and Cubase SX 3.1 (latest patch)
Max

We'll check that out...
Do you have 'Map GM Input' checked in the mapping tab? If so, does unchecking it make a difference? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I have unchecked it and it made no difference. Still the first crash is the only one played by Jamstix. |

With 'Map GM input' unchecked, the audit button should play the 2nd crash. Can you confirm that?
Jamstix always uses Crash 1 for rhythm changes. Crash 2 will be used for random crashes controlled by the cymbal slider. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ok, I was too early..
With the internal engine, it all works fine.. But with having checked "midi out only" and driving Halion Player, Jamstix still plays 1 and the same cymbal.. The whole time.. Hm.. These problems do not occur with DFHS or BFD, right? Otherwise I would have read something about here.
What is wrong in my DAW? |

Nothing wrong on your end. We'll check it out. Give me a few days, though. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

In addition... When I open the Halion Player, after having played a few seconds, the note for THAT CERTAIN CYMBAL is pressed and grayed out, which perhaps means that there is no NOTE OFF there.. In Jamstix the problem in the mapping tab only occurs with the cymbals. I can change the mapping for eacht cymbal, but I always get to hear the same sound, even when I map a key that is not mapped by Halion itself..
Hopefully that helps! |
