X8-8 is now out with the MIDI loopback detection fix. RockMe, see if this fixes your issue.

@zauni
So you're saying when you open a saved project you get the noise but if you add JS to a project you don't. Is that right?
Yes, it's right

Also, could you describe the type and length of the noise a bit?
The lenght is about 3-4 seconds ,start with very high frequencies to lower
freq like a science fiction movie.

That is something else! Could you send me a CPR to support at rayzoon.com that does this?

Also, what ASIO driver are you using?

I get this same noise when checking and unchecking the "x-sample" button! It is fully reproducable. I never unchecked X-sample, that's why I can't tell if this hasn't occured before the latest beta. It has never occured when loading a project.. but now it does.. It has something to do with loading the samples.. During the load the noise (synthie like) comes in..

EDIT: Ok, I can definitely say, that this noise has been introduced by X8-8, and wasn't there before.

I can produce noise when changing mappings in Cubase while the host is running but not when stopped. We'll fix that next week.

I have had some wierd behaviour with 8-8 when reloading Multiout kits I already created. I end up with "No Sample" in the box. I also had kits where certain samples (eg all Kick and Snare) were silent despite being selected and playing fine with "audition".

I reinstalled 8-8 over the top and tried loading factory preset kits and it seems to be working OK with them. Perhaps this new setup with grouping the samples breaks some saved kits with multiple outputs.

Obviously, if this is the case it is not the end of the world as the new system makes building Multi Out kits a snap.

8-8 is giving me a pretty loud burst of noise when loading samples as a Cubase SX 3.1 song loads. The duration is just a few seconds and then everything is normal.

I can't download without it asking me to login. I'm already logged in, or is it asking me for another registration somewhere?

Thanks,

Greg

It wants your username and password from the original email you got from Rayzoon giving you the download details for Jamstix.

Hi Ralph! Nice to have you back! Smile Did you get some rest? Wink

Hope you get this noise problem sorted out, which has been introduced with the last beta.

Onando and Podianer, please see if this Build fixes your noise issues:
http://66.235.201.50/updates/jamstix1755.zip

If not, please send me the rzdlog.txt file from the Jamstix folder.

Thanks!

I don't seem to be able to replicate this.

Hi,

I briefly checked the Build and as far as MY problems are concerned, I can say they are gone. I tried loading different mappings and everything went "noiseless" Smile

What was the reason for the noise if I may ask..?

Podianer

EDIT: Ok, the noise is gone, but there are several other problems now. First, my key word jam doesn't work anymore.. There are no keywords in the list. Second, there is an error shown at the bottom of the Jamstix GUI that says: "FIE Update UI Update Error (Access violation .. in module jamstix.dll...)
