Well, I got so into the 'idea' of this last night that I stayed up wayyy too long and ordered the jamboree to boot! I run SONAR 4 and I'm sure I will pester you with many redundant questions.... I promise to do a search on here before i ask though Anyway, I am reading your manuals and waiting for my email to tell me where to DL your product, too exciting! I play accoustic singer/sonwriter stuff and electric funk and blues and a bit of jazz/funk, I think this may be just what the doctor ordered!!!
If anyone would respond to these couple questions with links to the forum where the questions were already answered, that would rock!!! Here goes....
1-I played with the demo, but didnt quite figure out how to get the "track" to show up as ...well, I guess audio???? you know, with the editable wave form...???....still reading manual AND still very new to SONAR (last DAW for me was CW9)
2-I'm not too sure if I used the M8 meter thingy correctly, and/or if I actually got it to "jam" with me... again SONAR 4
3-I was wondering if you were planning on developing support for 5/4 or 7/4, and can I achieve this in SONAR with combo signatures in each bar of 2/4-3/4 to equal 5/4, and similarly 3/4 and 4/4 to equal 7/4 time?????
Thanks in advance!!!! I'll check in when I get off from work

Best way is to 'freeze' Jamstix. You need to put a dummy MIDI event at the start and end of your song into the Jamstix MIDI track though because otherwise Sonar thinks there's nothing to freeze.

You know it's working when the velocity slider in Jamstix moves up and down in response to the audio input volume. There's a PDF in your manual folder (Free Jam Quick Start) that has a section on Sonar specifically.

Jamstix supports 2/4,3/4,4/4 and 6/8. You can use combo sigs to achieve others, such as 2/4+3/4=5/4 and 3/4+4/4=7/8.
By the way, I deleted your copy of this thread in the support forum to keep things less redundant. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I'm also new. Bought the Jamboree yesterday. I've been using the hmm... "extended" demo version.. (I'm not proud of it, but try before buy did work). But now I'm finally here! Fantastic program! |
