I'm trying to install drumpak2 and having trouble. I unzipped brushpak, dp1, and dp2, into the addons folder. Opened cubase sx3, and then vsti Jamstix. Immediately, jamstix prompts to install brushpak and everything installs fine. Next, same with dp1, installs just fine. However, when prompted to install dp2 and after clicking "yes" the drums appear to load but then i get a window with some midi control sliders and not the Jamstix GUI. If i remove Jamstix from the vsti list, and then try again, I'm asked if i want to install DP2 again. If i click "no" Jamstix opens properly and works fine, (awesome vsti btw). The "about" tab says i have dp1 and brushpak.

I just purchased and downloaed yesterday, and it appears i'm running the current version 1.42.

Am I missing something? It seems I have a handle on everything else, but this dp2 is killing me.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Sorry for your troubles! It appears that an error occurs while installing DP2 and that causes the GUI to be replaced with default sliders in SX.

Please check in the ABOUT tab that you actually have Jamstix 1.42. If so, please check the disk space on the drive that the Jamstix folder is on. If there is sufficient space, please re-download DrumPak #2 as it may have been a corrupted download.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for the prompt response, Ralph.

I verified disk space. 10Gb free on the Jamstix partition.
I verified that in the "about" tab, it says release 1.42.
I then deleted the dp2 file from the addons folder.
Re-downloaded dp2 via link in email.
Unpacked it and placed in addons folder, per the original.

Nothing is different. It still responds the same way. Opens in slider GUI. If I remove Jamstix and then insert it again, i am asked to install dp2, which seems strange to me but heh, many things do.

Again, many thanks in advance.

Please try this DLL:

http://66.235.201.50/updates/jamstix1749.zip
(ID and PW are the same as your Jamstix delivery)

which should give you a proper error message when trying to install DP2. Just tell me the message you are getting.

I have solved the problem.

I opened jamstix as a vst in minihost. It then prompted and install dp2 just fine. I then tested cubase and everything is working properly.

Don't know what exactly the problem was, but it's working.

Many Thanks.
