In the snare control section under the rhythm tab you can check 1/4's 1/8's and 1/16's before or after so effectively the snare is playing 1/16's with all the boxes checked. This sounds a bit daft until you move the varience slider up and it sounds very interesting to my guitarists ears. It puts me in mind of one of my drummers who's party piece during his drum solo was to play the snare beater, then the rim, then walk round the kit playing the various stands or whatever else he get a rhythm out of, much to the delight of the audience, its amazing how easily impressed people are after a few beers. I digress, the question is when always sidestick is checked Jamstix goes back to playing 8ths, is there something I'm doing wrong? |

There is extra logic in Jamstix to suppress unrealistic sidestick play which leads to the 'thinning out' of the notes as you described. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I can't quite get my head round the "logic" of that statement but if means that Jamstix is more realistic as a result then I'll go with that. The limb assignment is something that is very reassuring for a non-drummer, its good to know that your drums tracks are at least threoretically playable by a human drummer. |
