The new 16th shuffle feature is quite handy and I use it quite a lot now. Both 8th and 16th shuffle would be better still IMO with variable degrees of shuffle rather than the simple On/off control.

Most hosts (eg Logic, Cubase) and Drum samplers (eg BFD) offer this feature in the form of midi quantize with variable swing. A lot of oldtime rock and roll (eg 60s Stones) has some degree of swing - it is not played as straight 8ths.

Just wondered if this is on the roadmap already.

It's on the list for JS2.

Thanks for the update Zauni.

ETA of JS2 is perhaps 7 months or so off according to the thread in the forum - maybe fewer. Any chance of a quick and dirty swing scaling contol before then? Ifind myself playing parts that have that sort of moderate swing/shuffle feel and trying to match them with the JS feel.

I guess there are issues to do with getting fills etc to conform to the variable swing feel - although this seems to have happened pretty well with the brushpack swing feels.

The other thing that would be interesting in this line is the Purdey shuffle.

Regards,
Phil
