Does JamStix work with Linplug's RMIV? I had an existing Cubase SX project yesterday that was using RMIV with midi drums I had programs with acoustic guitar (audio) and thought I would mute Linplug track and add Jamstixs and let it jam via AudioM8 from guitar track, but once I added Jamstixs as an insert and it reached the last stage of going through the logo loading it completed crashed Cubase SX - ie. disappearred as an open program.
XP (SP1), latest version of Cubase SX3. Anyone else experienced this? |

It works beautifully in Sonar.I open Sonar then audio m8 and then jamstix.I then configure RM1V as .dll.I think if you follow this same route in Cubase it should work and if you get what I'm getting using sampled acoustic kits like Brad kits you'll be amazed at the results. _________________ EMU 1820M user |

When you say 'insert', do you mean you tried to load Jamstix as an insert effect? You should not do that but instead load Jamstix always only in the VST instrument tray. It will then automatically connect to audioM8.
Let me know how it goes. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Apologies - I meant a VSTi not an insert.
I have done some more testing/experimenting this evening with a completely empty new project and I think I have found an incompatibility with the Waves plugins and Jamstix.
I created a complete empty project (not from a pre-defined template) and added one mono audio track. I imported a wav audio file added AudioM8 as an insert on the track and then opened Jamstix and it opened ok. I then closed Jamstix (ie. removed it as a VSTi instrument). I then added a Wave plugin (IDR Mono) to the first insert on the audio track and opened up Jamstix again and this time it crashed Cubase when it got to the point after loading accents/rythms.
I tried some different waves plugins and all did the same. I then added the wave plugin after adding Jamstix as a VSTi and this was ok until I tried to open Jamstix interface and it immediately crashed Cubase.
My setup is below. I have pre-ordered Jamstix but may have to reconsider a cancellation if it is related to an incompatibility with Waves as I use them in every project.
Can anyone with a similar setup (or at least SX3 and Waves5) try this and see if you have same problem?
