|
|
Hi Ralph, just got DP2 and am delighted with the sounds - along with DP1 and the default kits, I have now got drums for all occasions!! Can't imagine what's in store for us next
Question: am I missing something here or is there an easy way to map individual kit pieces to separate output channels? On a recent song, I did it by going through each sound on the mapping tab and using the slider to change the output channel. However, when I swapped to DP2 to try the new sounds, all the kit pieced defaulted back to JS output 1. Do I have to go through each piece again and remap them to appropriate channels or is there a quick way I have missed? Perhaps we could have a matrix with all the kit pieces on one axis and the channel assignment on the other then we could just check the appropriate channel per kit piece - it would be really easy to see what's what and to make changes.
Incidentally, I noticed that the context help for the output channel slider seems to be wrong and refers to the option above (can't remember which one as I'm not at my DAW right now).
Once again, many thanks for the wonderful DP2. _________________ Core 2 E6600, 2GB RAM, 2x320 SATA II HD

Yes, it is cumbersome at the moment. Loading a mapping will overwrite the current output settings since they are part of the mapping. Jamstix 2 will have a spreadsheet-style editor with group editing to make this easier.
I'll see if we can add something to JS1 to make it at least a bit easier until then.

The next beta will have a lock icon next to the output selection slider. If locked, loading a mapping will not overwrite the current output selections (for any sound). _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thank you!
I've been having some "troubles" over this as well. |

Thanks Ralph, that's an excellent solution pending JS2 functionality. _________________ Core 2 E6600, 2GB RAM, 2x320 SATA II HD
