Jamstix 1.4 comes with two new snare accents that use 32nd double stroke rolls. While they sound great with the internal sounds, they can sound machine-like with other drum modules.

We have therefore altered them to use bounce (drag) samples of the internal engine as well as DFHS and BFD, which also provide them. This gives great results with those libraries and suppress them for others. In other libraries, you can try to assign a snare sample to the 'Snare Bounce' slot and then flatten its velocity to see if you can get acceptable results.

Please unzip into your 'accents' folder:

Hey Ralph

Those two files already exist in my accents folder. Should I replace those with these two new ones? Thanks

Yes, replace them.

Ralph

I downloaded and replaced the files in the accent folder but the dates in the folder are 18/11 and the new files are 7/11. I assume that these are, despite the older date, the latest files and the 18/11 on the existing files was due to updating my version of Jamstix , would this be correct?

Ralph
I kind of understand what you are saying here.

I am using BFD (and I use fills) so do I need to downlaod the file in the link above and manually install/replace it in my Jamstix folder or will future updates and Betas do this job for me?

That's correct.

They are included in 1.42 and all future updates so it's all taking care of.
