I have installed the latest version of Jamstix and I am having serious problems with the CPU going into the red. This is with a new project with nothing except Jamstix running with the default kit on Keyword Jam. The CPU is below 50% and then spikes in to the red. This seems to coincide with a fill being loaded. Any ideas, I think this is probably an SX problem rather than Jamstix but I thought I'd ask anyway. The processor is an AMD 3000+, 1gig ram, and a Wamirack 192x.

That is odd. Please check your ASIO driver. Please also send me the rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix directory to support @ rayzoon.com.

It may also help if you send the CPR so we can try to duplicate conditions.

I've checked your CPR and you are operating in 32-bit 96kHz mode. Change to 16-bit/44.1kHz and all your problems will go away. Running any VSTi at 96kHz will require over 100% more CPU power than at 44.1kHz since the software has to calculated more than twice as many samples in the same amount of time. The 32-bit resolution may contribute to the problem but, if so, only via the ASIO driver since Jamstix itself runs internally always at 32-bit.
