hi

when i use keyword jam, there are (empty)rhythms below those that i have loaded, in the arrangement window. how do we remove these to stop the silence we get when js tries to play these rhythms(that don't really exist).

thanks

Hmm, not sure I understand. When I switch to KW jam and select a key word, Jamstix only uses the non-empty slots during the jam.

hi

i'm sorry but my 1.42 version plays the "RHYTHM8", "RHYTHM9", etc.

i tried opening a new project and starting from scratch, still get blank bars.

here's what i do. !)select keyword jam in the jam tab. 2) go to the rhythm tab, click load, load the patterns i want. 3) when i go to the arrangement window, the list of patterns include the ones i have selected and below them is "Rhythm8","Rhythm9", etc.

knowing that your copy is running fine doesn't help me, I'm afraid. I'd be really grateful if you could suggest a fix, please.

thanks very much

The problem is that you are loading rhythms manually. Here's how keyword jam works:

- click Key Word Jam

- in the appearing 'Key Words' panel, drag one or several key words from the 'Available' list to the 'Selected' List. It will tell you how many rhythms your selection covers underneath the 'Selected' list.

The rhythms that pass then filter are automatically loaded in the arranger and Jamstix will only use those during the jam.

By default, only rhythms that have all your selected keywords will be included. Uncheck the 'Match Any Key' box and all rhythms that have at least one of your keys will be included.
