I wanted to try and tune my drum sounds to the tonal center of my songs, so I was wondering what the pitch reference was for the internal drum sounds? Is 0 = 440? Is the increments in cents? How much per increments? I normally always play in a Drop-D tuning 1/2 step down and I could just tune to a pitch from my guitar, but I'm an electronic tuner type of guy and I like hitting the easy button whenever I can. It sure would be easy to just dial and go. _________________ SHUT UP AND PLAY

0 is not 440Hz. 440Hz is the specific frequency of A above middle C.
There are no cent values on the pitch slider in Jamstix at this time so you'll have to use your ear or a plugin tuner to reach specific pitches.
Drum pitch tuning is a sensitive subject with many drummers
When is the last time you saw a drummer change the tune of his drums on stage when going from song A to song B?
Here are my 2 cents:
1) The kick drum should be pitched to sound the way you want for a given song. Pitch doesn't matter, only sound does. There are also situations where frequencies of a lightly or not-dampened kick can interfere with bass frequencies in which case you want to tune them apart or dampen the kick.
2) Snare drums can be tuned across a fairly wide range but each snare drum has a sweet spot. Again, pitch doesn't matter, only sound does, since it isn't a melodic instrument of any signifcant sustain.
3) Toms are the most complicated drums to tune and also the only ones were pitch really matters as you can play nearly melodic on toms of long sustain. Each tom has a sweet spot that I do not recommend to tune away from too much. The shell width, depth and material determine that spot and pitch. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
