|
|
I was playing for a couple of days with the jamstix demo (1.32) and it's really amazing!
Also a great compliment for the support in the forum.
All works fine, but I can't jam with audio-signals (no problem with midi-signals).
I'm using Cubase SE 3.02 (same engine like SX) as a vsti-host.
The audioM8 (1.3) input signal doesn't move, perhaps that's the problem.
I was checking jamstix with the old Cubase SE (1.07): same problem.
Any ideas?
btw:
How about a german jamstix column in this forum?
Is there only one drum kid in the demo? _________________ iMac

Make sure:
- audioM8 is the first insert effect on the audio track.
- Inputs are switched on (I hear what I'm playing through the monitors)
- the actual monitor button for that track is enabled (the internal volume meter only shows signal when this is switched on anyway).
- disable direct monitoring

Yes, there's only one kit and it is also reduced compared to the same kit in the full version. The full version comes with a second kit plus percussion for a total of 380MB sound.
You can extend that with the DrumPak #1 and BrushPak and the upcoming DrumPak #2, which are very reasonably priced. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

yes and no the volume meter shows nothing
| Quote: | | - disable direct monitoring |
yes
I spend a few hours more with it...
Checked Cubasis VST3: same problem
Installed new M-Audio drivers (5.10.0.5051): Cubase chrashed!
(Jumped back to the last restoration-point)
Used an old Cubase VST 5 Demo-Version from 2. partition of my pc: audio-jamming works fine!
It might be a Cubase/M-Audio-problem. I will ask the guys from Steinberg and M-Audio if they knew such problems.
But more important is to use jamstix for song-writing and making demos.
So I will check out some more functions of jamstix. _________________ iMac

jim, I have no problems whatsoever with Audio m8 working in SX3 using my M-Audio Delta 66.
Sometimes the monitoring options in Cubase are a little confusing.
I remember having difficulties to get Audio m8 to work in the beginning, too, because I didn´t have the monitoring set right.
I can´t remember what was wrong, though, but I´d recommend playing with the general monitoring and more importantly the track monitoring a bit.
It definitely has to work. |

Which M-Audio drivers do you use?

That's right - I checked the audio-settings of Cubase, but I got everytimes the same result:
The audioM8 shows no signal, but I hear and can record all what I play!

Yes, but I don't no at the moment what's wrong.
I'm wondering that my other partition and the old Cubase VST 5 Demo works with jamstix audio-jamming.

What Ralph recommended, disable direct monitoring!
Happy jamming now! |
