Here's the current Jamstix beta. Use at your own risk. Any feedback is greatly appreciated as it helps us shake out the bugs!
http://66.235.201.50/updates/jamstixX7-3.zip
THE BETA IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS AT THIS TIME. YOU MUST HAVE JAMSTIX 1.4 INSTALLED FOR THIS BETA TO WORK
X7-3
- if a bar is muted after a fill the crash/kick on one (if specified) will not be muted anymore. This allows endings within an arrangement by using a fill with muted bars
- improved MIDI import quantizing stage
- sliders and checkboxes now display their current value when the mouse moves over them
X7-2
- added LED to the Jam Mode selector that blinks when Jam Start/Stop is active and Jamstix is waiting for the start trigger
- added hihat auto-foot setting 'Off Beat'
- modified auto-foot GUI to be easier to understand
- Jamstix now gracefully handles loading a VSTi with more outputs than Jamstix is set to
- fixed locking rhythm repeating previous bar instead of current with last beta
- accents no longer reset the 'crash on next 1' flag from another accent in the same bar
X7-1
- when importing multi-pattern MIDI files, rhythms are now all named after the MIDI file + the bar number
- added 'Reset' button to load rhythm screen when called by right-clicking on a rhythm in the arranger
- 'Clear All' function in the arranger now allows clearing of all rhythms and also allows fine-control of what gets cleared
- lock icon in the rhythm tab now loops the current pattern at the current bar on internal clock for easy editing even with the host stopped
- fixed manually selected tom accents still passing the probability filter

No need to keep up, Doc! We're just pushing these things out fast so users can test-drive new features and fixes.
You can take a break from the 'beta rat race' at any time _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I just downloaded and installed this new beta. In using Sonar 5 in looping mode (ie: bars 3 to 6 repeating)....JS does not follow the looping. It continues on to 7 and 8 etc...
Can this be addressed or is it a VST shortfall????
I've noticed this in all the builds...just thought I'd ask.
Again I'm going to sound like a broken record ( CD for the younger folk) here but....damn this is the best drum VST out there.

It's a shortfall of the wrappers, DirectiXer and CW VST, both. Nothing we can do about that, works fine in all hosts with native VST support.

Hi Ralph
Many thanks for fixing that bug - it's such an important aspect to the way I use jamstix. Still finding out new features and methods of working every time.
That's the beauty of it - it's so flexible. I believe the pay off for the steep learning curve is very rewarding. Stlill not there yet but I think I'm beginning to tame the beast.
For your Information I'm using BFD Delux - mostly the Vistalite and Gretsche kits and I've mapped extra cymbals so I can make use of the full variety of the Jamstix cymbal hits.
Thanks |

Great, Ralph. One small suggestion, not sure if someone else would like it: isn´t it possible to implement a right click+drag in the snare panel (like in the cymbals panel) to select rimshots?
Thanks. |

Jamstix 2 will allow you to select snare head, stick, bounce, flam and rimshot. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

"sliders and checkboxes now display their current value when the mouse moves over them "
Excellent!!!
Great work Ralph. This will make it a lot easier to see whether 2 things are the same value or to put something back where it was if you decide you shouldn'thave moved it in the first place
