|
|
All,
I recently updated Jamstix to V 1.4 and my Superior Drummer C&V to V1.51 featuring the new TPC technology. Prior to this 1.51 update, I would use the following to use Jamstix with C&V (instructions from Ralph!):
1. Load Jamstix
2. Load a rhyhtm
3. Load C&V mapping
4. Hit Play and after a while (due to C&V load time) you should hear Jamstix playing C&V sounds
I am using Nuendo 3 with a simple project with one Midi track for testing. If I following the steps above...I hear nothing coming back (from anywhere). Superior loads fine...I can click Configure and can see the kit pieces loaded etc....but no sound. I tried Uncached and with no TPC on...still no dice...
Any ideas? |

Very odd. It works fine here. Did you verify that C&V is in Stereo Mode? Otherwise you may need to specify more outputs in Jamstix. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

U running CV inside Jamstix or externally?
I run Jamstix and CV as separate VSTi's
1. Open Jamstix, set the CV map and have midi output only selected
2. Open CV, load kit pieces
3. Create a midi track and set Jamstix as the input and CV as the ouput
That's it!!
This also now lets you record all the Jamstix stuff to the midi track and edit it yourself if you want

Ralph,
How do I set Stereo Mode? I always thought it just came up as is - as in no special settings required. I don't recall messing around with any settings before.
Update when you can.
Cheers! |

Whoa! This is cool. And it works first time. Love the way I can manipulate the MIDI file afterwards too. This is what I was looking for!
Cheers! |
