How about support for swing/shuffle? |
Hi Rented, welcome to the board!
Yes, Jamstix will have a Shuffle switch. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Zauni,
I'm in the middle of creating a trackand thought to myself "I wish I had Jamstix already". Then I thought "Damn, it's in 6/8", then checked this thread again and see you will handle 6/8 in the first release (woohoo).
I was just wondering, how well would Jamstix handle playing "ethinic" percussion... hand drums and the like? I realise I'd have to do some judicious mapping to suitable samples, but I was wondering if there are controls (like "limb priority") that could be "abused" to move Jamstix away from standard drumming technique?
Also, are you still on track for the published release schedule?

The limb priority mechanism in Jamstix 1.0 is hard-coded. However, we are considering customizable LPM rules for future versions.
