Hi Ralph, since the possibility of assigning accents manually, I´m getting deeper into edting accents and fills. Is there any chance of releasing an SDK soon? Sorry for so many questions, but I´m redoing drums for 15+ songs, so it´s been an intense work with JS.
For awhile, I don´t understand exactly the randomizers section: could you give an example of the syntax to randomize the velocity of an event or the probability of the event playing?
Thanks. |

There's no SDK right now or anytime soon, just the http://www.rayzoon.com/jamstix_accent_editing_primer.pdf
You cannot vary the velocity of an event in the RAF file. This is done automatically by the Jamstix GUI settings.
Probability Of Event
[Randomizers]
MyChance=70
[Events]
MyNote=MyChance,0,0,1,0,127,1,1,-2
MyAlternateNote=!MyChance,0,0,1,0,127,1,1,-2
You declare the randomizer with any name you like and give it a percentage (70% in this example). You can then use the randomizer instead of the leading zero in one or more events.
You can also have alternate events by using the ! as a prefix to the randomizer name so the event will only play if the randomizer returns false. The second event above shows that usage. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Ok, got it. The only undocumented setting seems to be ´resolution´, but its use is pretty obvious. Thank you very much. |

Yes, resolution was introduced in 1.4 to allow 32nd notes in RAFs. The default tick resolution of Jamstix is 48, which was not sufficient for 32nd notes. Resolution=96 sets it to 96 ticks but remember to double all 48-style tick numbers.
Also, only 48 and 96 are supported at this time. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
