Ralph
I love how thorough you have made Jamstix... it's like I thought up a 'wish-list' for a digital 'drummer' and you went and made it.
And it is so full of features that only become apparent after using it for some time.
Yesterday I discovered a new feature that just BLEW ME AWAY!
The velocity slider!
The velocity slider can be automated in CUBASE SX! Which means after I have written a drum arrangement and before (or after) I record a rythym guitar.... I can go through the song in CUBASE's 'write' mode and ride that velocity fader manually (with the mouse) and that make the 'drummer' play quieter or harder depending on what is required of the song..
And! ...fills are played soft or hard depending on how your velocity is set!
So you can have a fill that is a bit of a mellow roll on the snare or have the velocity up and have it really pounding!!
So now jamstix is not only a drum machine/arranger that thinks like a drummer... but I can make it play with EMOTION as well!!
And it never turns up late... forgets where the chorus goes... breaks a stick.... or 'leaves the band'
A-Mazing!!
Ralph.. you are wonderful!
