I have the 1.4 update.
I find Jamstix is getting better and better and faults are getting fewer and fewer.
There is still one or two bugs that I can see.
here's one:
When you import a midi file... let's say one of the midi drum files that come with BFD (BFD is a useless arranger of midi)
...say I import a midi file called 'Bb101'....
cool...... jamstix arranger and rythym tab both call that file 'Bb101'.... however any subsequent files I import.. say.....'Bb102' or Bb103' are not named... they import... but are just given the default name of 'Rythm-0', 'Rythm-1', 'Rythm-2' (etc)

Not sure if I fully understand but I think the issue is the import of multi-pattern MID files where only the first slot gets named after the MID file.
I had no other problems with several sequential imports and the rhythm naming process.
The next beta will fix this, let us know if that takes care of it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Not exactly....
The 'midi' files I am importing come from the BFD midi selection. and teh Groove Monkey midis (for BFD). They are usually one or two bars long.
If I import ONE it names it. but if I import a second midi file it does not give it a name at all.... and that starts to get confusing when you are trying to find that second midi file and the first one (in the top of teh arranger list) is called 'punk-01' and the rest are 'rythym-1', rythym-2, (etc)

Please try the X7-1 beta we just posted and see if the problem persists. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

the X7-1 beta update is GOOD. You have done well.
It's great to be able to clear the arranger in such a selective manner.
Yeah it works perfectly.
However... there is still one function relating to clearing the arrangement page that is not yet happening and I think it is vital.
It would be amazing to be able to clear single individual rythyms.
Say you import say...10 drum patterns and the seventh one you imported you don't want to keep.... now, as it is, you have to throw away all the patterns and start again...
This is a real pain when importing the BFD midi's (and I'm sure this could be more of a fault of BFD when they formatted their midi patterns) they are often 2 bars long... and now... Jamstix does chop and name them down into 1 bar sections (that is awesome by the way!) But.... often these BFD (or Groove monkey) midis come in as three bars... with no data or info on the third bar... jamstix names it as a 'section' 3... but it has nothing on it... hey... I can handle that.... but this is when I need to delete that third pattern (be it pattern 3 or 6 or 9 ect) without deleting all the other patterns that I want to keep... every 'blank' pattern that I can't get rid of is one less pattern of the possible 16 that I can use in my arrangement...
So yeah, an ability to select singlular rythyms would just ROCK!!
Keep up he great work!

Right-click on the rhythm name in the arranger and hit 'Reset' in the dialog that opens. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
