Lets say (for example) that you import a bunch of midi files or you make a bunch of patterns and then you decide you don't like them and want to remove them all from the arrange tab.

If I hit 'clear all' it removes the arrangement of my pink squares and resets that back to default.... but all of the patterns are still there.

Is their a way to erase all patterns from the arrange window?

Currently I just have a 'load' setting that is fresh.

Could there be a button to click to 'wipe' away all patterns?
or even better a right click to remove selected patterns from the arrange list... so if you liked all the patterns except you thought that pattrens 4 and 7 'sucked' you could right-click on those patterns and get rid of them?

We have that on the list for Jamstix 2 but since this item is fairly simple and gets asked for a lot, we'll add it to the next beta.

One thing I would find useful is the ability to 'clear all' but leave any muted blocks in place.

Actually, thinking more about it, it would be equally useful to leave any fill blocks alone as well.

To further explain what I mean.... I've worked on a track and have set mutes and fills to where I need them, but the overall drumming is not to my liking. If I 'clear all', that's exactly what happens, so I end up having to manually put in all the mutes and fills each time I do this. If I could hit a button which cleared the general arrangement, but left the fill and mute blocks alone, it could save me a heap of work.

Makes sense. We'll see what we can do...

The next beta will give you fine-control in the 'Clear All' function and will also allow you to clear rhythms. You will be able to individually select from these options:

- clear arrangement (rhythm-to-bar assignment)
- clear rhythms/names
- clear decisions
- clear fills, intros and endings
- clear mutes

Choices will be recalled for the duration of the session.

What can I say? 40 minutes pass and a solution is proposed - that's a great service.

Many thanks.

Quick note: in the beta, everytime you click on Free Jam, the filter box comes up since Jamstix wants to reset the arrangement. We will suppress that in the next beta.
