hi,
Perhaps it's so obvious so I didn't find it but I didn't manage to find a GM mapping for jamstix.
Could anybody give me an URL ?
Thanks

Hi Philippe and welcome to the board,
Jamstix is GM-mapped by default. What are you trying to do exactly? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
At the first time, I try to use DFH2 as a sound module. DFH2 has GM drumkit so I load one. But not all the kit where ok.
After your post I investigate a I discovert that in the GM drumkit part of DFH2 they're GM drumkit and not GM drumkit.
I am sorry they were no problem.
In my testing I see some other thing.
The base DH2 kit sound better. I begin to make a mapping bu I don't have much time to make it complet. To you know if there is or will be a mapping for dfh2 ?
When I use DFH2 I disable the sound module of jamstix to save memory.
But I have other song that use the sound module of jamstix. The on/off parameters of jamstix does not depend on the preset but on jamstix configuration. So if I use Jamstix with DFH2 and after I load jamstix the sound module is not active. It could be usefull to make this parameter dependant of the jamstix instance and not globale.
regards

When someone shares a DFH2 mapping with us, we will make it available on our download page.

Let me understand this better. Are you loading DFH2 outside of Jamstix and then using a MIDI track to route the Jamstix MIDI out to DFH2? Also, what host are you using? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

If I manage to finish my mapping I will send you.
I use Tracktion or EnergyXT.
I didn't manage to load DFH2 as a jamstix module so I route midi jamstix ouput to a midi track hosting DFH2. When doing that I disable the jamstix module. But when I create a new jamstix instance or when I open another project with a instance of jamstix that use the internal module, it's disable.

When using a drum module outside of Jamstix, you can use two methods:
a) Load the mapping 'Internal Silence' into Jamstix. It does not use any samples and is in GM layout
b) if your external module uses a non-GM layout, load the proper mapping into Jamstix but check 'MIDI Out Only' so the module itself does not get loaded into Jamstix
Furthermore, if you wish to have a specific mapping loaded by Jamstix everytime it starts, load the desired mapping into Jamstix and save it as 'default.rdm', overwriting the existing mapping. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
