Ralph
Just installed my full version today.
I have discovered a problem with the Beta x6-6 version.
It relates to when you open Cubase and set up a 'project template'
(I have Cubase SX2 running on windows XP with an Athalon 2.
Cubase SX comes with various 'preset' templates or you can make and save your own.
Now I wanted to setup a template for using JAMSTIX.. well Jamstix is so good and I will be using it as the base for every song I do now.. so I sure do want a template for Jamstix.
Making a template saves so much time... you don't have to set up a new environment each time you open Cubase.
OK... so with the 1.32 version everything runs smoothly.
BUT when I installed the Beta x6-6 update... and go to open that Cubase SX JAMSTIX template... it won't open... it starts loading the kit... then it just stops... and it freezes my Cubase... and I can't even close Cubase down... it 'locks up'
I un-installed Jamstix... re-installed V.1.32... made a 'template'.. restarted.. opened Cubase... opened my Jamstix 'template'... all fine!
The I re-installed the Beta X6-6 and it wouldn't open again (and locked up again)
I'm very interested in knowing if anyone else has had this problem?

Try creating the template with the beta, and opening it with the beta. I had some issues with Cubase when at some version (don't remember which) the number of outputs was increased. When I tried to do something with one of the newly available default outs, all hell broke loose.
That is to say, until I reloaded Jamstix which allocated the propert number of tracks to it in Cubase. |

Yes
That is how I did do it.
I loaded it with the beat and opened it with the beta... un-installed it all and did it again.... and it 'crashed again...
I had not evenn gotten to a stage where I was changing outputs.
When I did the process without the beat update everything works perfect. |

I can't duplicate the problem. Saving and loading templates with JS works fine here. Can you send me the rzdlog.txt from your Jamstix directory right after a template crash? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I will do that... I'll reload the beta version and try saving a template and send you the log data...
It might take me a few days to get all that done... but I will do it.
Thanks

This problem.... it was real... I duplicated the problem twice in one day by un-installing and re-installing...
But today I loaded the X6-6 beta... and there is no more problem.
So I MUST have been doing something wrong huh?
So it seems we don't have to worry about this issue!
Yee haaa!
