Ralph
I notice that when I export a whole arrangement as a midi file (which is EXACTLY how I want to do things)

The export works beautifully... except that the midi file is called 'Jamstix drums'.... every time... for each and every different song...

Could it be possible to be able to name the midi on export? So it takes on any given name? e.g: 'Yellow Submarine 1'

So when I go to import the midi file into cubase... I'll know exactly what it is.

This would be cool.

Would it suffice to give it the same name as the MID filename?

I may be smoking crack, but I would swear I get to name the midi file before I save it...

I think he's talking about the track name in the MIDI file itself, which currently is always 'jamstix drum track'.

Oh, that makes more sense. I've never noticed that because I've always imported my midi files into existing projects that don't show the track names. With that in mind, is there a way to export a midi file that has more than one track? Actually, I always see two tracks, one is just a few bars long. What is that tiny track at the beginning of my song for? I haven't really inspected it closely because I can't find the event list view in Cubase and that's not my editor of choice.

Track 0 has the meta-data, track 1 has the actual notes. Most sequencers are smart enough to only show track 1 as a data track.
