Snare: A normal snare in the 70's: Deep, low tuned and floffy.

Kick: Pretty normal, not boomy, but lots of snare rattle.

Toms: Muffled and lots of snare rattle. Low tuned.

Ride: Thin. And the drumstick should have a small tip.

Crashes: Thin, warm and washy with as much sustain as possible.

Hi-Hat: Like the ride and the crashes, somewhat.

Thanks for the reply, Ralph.
That's all I needed.

Brilliant support!

Other companies have a lot to learn from you.

Keep it up!

I haven't bought Jamstix yet as I've only just started messing around with the demo. Now this may seem like a stupid question but regarding the snare rattle on the dream kit, do you mean that you want the snare resonating at a low and obviously varying levels when the toms and bass drum are hit as you would get and even try to avoid when recording a kit in the studio. As I say I am still getting a feel for the program but can you actually control the amount of spill between different drums?

You cannot control the amount of mic bleed with the internal engine. You can influence it somewhat by altering the ambience level since the snare rattle is louder in the ambient signal than in the close mic signal.
