Actually I like a couple of your sounds better than BFD's! Especially the cymbals Very Happy

Don't let Angus from fxpansion here that... Smile

Don't get me wrong, I love BFD ... but if I'd seen your program first I might have held off buying BFD at all. Your sounds are great and the potential loops creation and arranging features could keep me going forever! And sure BFD is all about sound quality and mixing abiltity(especially the snares), and Jamstix playing through it shows the incredible potential of both programs, but Jamstix sounds are right up there almost in the same league in most cases. BFD's cymbals are their weakest point. Now that I've paid for it I must say ... you're charging too little for your program! Wink

Am starting out today seeing about that loop back thing. Thanks again for your patience and help. Your support is indeed quick and efficient! Very Happy

hi ralph,

i noticed i need to use the "Alternative sizing method" for jamstix in DirectiXer.

after reading thru this thread, i see you are aware of this.

the directiXer manual says this is not recommended unless necessary, as it is not part of the VST standard way of determining window size.

have you ever figured out why jamstix doesn't size properly w/o this option enabled? is there any downside (stability/efficiency) regarding the need for this in jamstix?

i'm mostly just curious, but perhaps there is an issue?

I don't see how this has anything to do with the VST standard because the Jamstix GUI works just fine in dozens of other hosts without any "work-arounds". It is only DirectiXer that has this issue with various plugins and that's why they put this option in there.

It's no problem and there's no downside to it.
